FAQ`s
-
How does the nursery communicate with me about my child's learning and development? We value the close bond we share with both children and parents. Your child's key person will provide detailed updates at the end of each day. We share meal and nap times, weekly updates, and observations on our Famly app. Every three months, we assess the children and plan progress reviews to chat about their development and how you can support them further at home.
-
What are the nursery opening times? We are open from 7.30 am to 6.00 pm every weekday. We do not open on Bank Holidays and for 3 days during the Christmas period. Everyone is notified of these dates at the beginning of the year.
-
What should I send my child into nursery with? Please remember to pack a nursery bag with spare clothes for your child to leave at the nursery. Our nursery enjoys outdoor activities in all weather conditions, including rainy days. To ensure your child's comfort and safety, we suggest providing a wet suit and Wellington boots.
-
How do you help support my child's transition into nursery? At The Cornerhouse, we know every child is unique. Some children take more time to feel comfy in nursery, and that's okay. Our flexible settling-in approach lets us personalise the process for each child. We provide 3 one-hour settling sessions. Parents are encouraged to stay during the first visit to meet the team and talk to the team about their child's current needs and overall development.
-
Is there a minimum amount of time that my child must attend the setting? We ask that children join us for at least 4 half-day sessions or 2 full days. This helps them settle in smoothly and make the most of the educational experiences we provide.
-
Do you offer extra sessions if needed? At The Cornerhouse, we understand that plans can change, and you might require emergency childcare when your child isn't scheduled to be here. We're flexible and will do our best to accommodate extra sessions as needed
-
When are my nursery fees payable ?Fees are due for payment on the first working day of every month, your bill is sent out well in advance and any queries can be answered during this time.
